Who are you? [Windclan deputy looking for friends!]

A sleek she-cat entered the entrance of camp her white and red body standing out against the grass. However with the snow layering the ground, it made her look somewhat weird as the red patches of fur seem to be floating thanks to that the white matched the snow. Her hazel and amber eyes flicked around, however unlike like they were a few minutes ago, they weren't narrowed because during that time she was looking for trespassers onto clan lands. The feline shook her thin pelt getting some of the snow flurries that had come off during the morning thanks to the cold weather and also that it was winter. Her gaze however continued to look around and she noticed that the camp was fairly empty, and that was never good with a clan. She placed her paws once after the other, and they seemed to fall almost silently as she moved forward deeper into the camp. Her red ears were perked listening to see if anyone was awake at this moment. The deputy of course didn't know what to do at this moment, the fresh kill pile was full, and everything was calm with the clans around her. Letting out a huff of disappointment at not seeing anyone, she sat her flank down onto the cold ground and curled her red tail over her white paws, but still she continued to look around.

Whitestar slunk over to her deputy, her big yellow eyes gleamed with respect for her deputy. "Hello Burntmemories, how are things in the territory?" The she-cat meowed formally, she shook snow off her pelt and grumpily raised her long tail out of the sticky snow.

The feline red ears perked as she heard light pawsteps heading in her direction. Her white and red tail flicked as she turned and saw a familiar gray pelt and white paws. A warm smile spread over her jaws as Burntmemories dipped her head toward Whitestar in respect. "Salutations Whitestar! How are you fine fine leaf bare? The territory is peaceful and quiet for now. But we don't know what the other clans are planning, especially Shadowclan thanks to that they border our lands" the red and white tabby mowed with the warm smile spread over her jaws. She was used to being nice to everyone, just not to strangers. Her amber-hazel eyes gleamed happily as she got a chance to address her leader.

Whitestar nodded slowly, "Okay." She murmured and added quickly, "I'm doing fine. A little tired but, that's to be expected when it's Leaf-bare." The she'cat chuckled lightly and nodded towards the snowy camp. "Camp is pretty quiet today," she commented.

The feline nodded her head in response to him and kept the smile spread over her jaws. Her teeth seemed to blend into each other as her muzzle was surrounded by white fur, and so only her tongue stood out with color. The red and white she-cat then nodded her head toward her leader. "That is very good to hear. Well then you can rest, even leaders need theirs." Burntmemories mewed happily, even though it wasn't a happy topic. Her tail flicked behind her as the spot where she was sitting in was slowly beginning to warm up. Her hazel-amber gaze then began to gleam, even after the second comment. "Everything is always slow in leaf-bare, but don't worry, it doesn't last forever so it should be over soon." She said calmly as she curled her tail around her paws to even add to the warmth that was emitting from her body.

" 'Leaf-bare will be over soon.' It's one of my favorite phrases!" Whitestar joked heartily and let out a deep exhale. She glanced over at the fresh kill pile and her whiskers twitched in surprise. The she-cat turned her luminious yellow gaze back onto Burntmemories and mewed politely, "I know you just got back but, would you mind organizing a hunting patrol before you rest?" At the word of rest Whitestar flinched mentally, she hated to sit still, but at that moment her warm nest of rabbit fur and moss made her want to purr, she was very tired.

Ooc: Hey Sorrel? Do we have to sign up regular ranked cats???

The slim she-cat watched her leader and let out a purr herself at the she-cats first comment. Then that was quickly followed with a chuckle that left her jaws. Her red and white tail flicked on the ground as if it was a mind of its own, but it was only because she didn't like to stand, or sit in this matter, still. Burntmemories ears perked though at the mention of organizing a hunting patrol and she immediately nodded her head in response. "Of course. But while I'm doing that, you're the one that needs some rest." She knew that her leader was very stubborn at times and sometimes needed a push. She raised her tail and flicked it over toward the den with brambles in front of it.

Ooc: I'm going to make a windclan kitty, can he fall in love with red?

Ic: Whitestar smiled and nodded, "Thank you." Then she flicked her tail towards a chocolate pelted tom with stunning green eyes who was lazing about at the corner of camp. "You can take Hotchocolate, I know for sure he hasn't been out of camp today. He was supposed to take the Dawn patrol but I took his spot." The she-cat's pelt was becoming warm with embarrassment.

Hotchocolate flicked his eyes toward Burntmemories and Whitestar. He could see that his leader had motioned to him, what were they talking about? Panic flared up momentarily in the Havana Brown's stomach.

The white and red she-cat nodded her head quickly at the comment the silver tabby made. Then turning her amber-hazel gaze toward the chocolate brown tom near the end of camp. She watched as fear spread across his facial expressions and he couldn't help but let a chuckle escape the deputies jaws. "Sure, but promise me that you'll get some rest okay?" Burntmemories mewed as without even waiting for an answer she turned and trotted over toward where the tom was sitting. Her tail flicked behind her as she stopped in front of him, a warm smile spreading over her features. "Whitestar wants you and me to go onto hunting patrol." The female said quickly and then spun around so she signaled with her tail for him to follow. The sleek cat didn't even wait for a response as she knew time was prey and sprinted toward the entrance of camp. Thanks to the way she was built, she was incredibly fast and her long tail helped her keep balance.

The red and white she-cat sprinted through the fields, her paws landing lightly on the snow that covered it. Her pelt stood out against it, and she knew it would be the same for the tom as well since he was a darker color. Her hazel-amber eyes flicked around until they were somewhat a distance away to where prey was usually located. She stopped and looked over her red shoulder at Hotchocolate. "I'll go left, and you go right. Okay?" The Windclanner mewed as she turned toward the left and began to trot into that direction. Her ears were perked listening to the slight sound, and she needed to be extra careful thanks to her pelt. She lowered her body mass toward the ground, the white parts of her body blending into the ground as she moved forward hearing something in the distance. She gaped her jaws and inhaled a lungful of air where the scents in the air touched the gland in the back of her throat. Burntmemories was quickly able to distinguish the type of prey she was after. Rabbit The deputy slowly stalked forward until she saw a snow hare in the fields. The only way she could see it though was thanks to its black eyes and nose. A smirk spread over her jaws as she waited until she used her powerful long legs to propel her sleek body forward in the direction of the hare. It quickly spooked and went in the opposite direction trying to avoid the hungry jaws of the cat.

It didn't take the she-cat long though to catch up to it as she was able to flash out one of her paws and trip it. She watched as it tumbled over itself and tried to recover, but it was too late as she landed on top of it and clamped her deadly jaws around its head. There with a swift twist, she was able to snap its neck before it could make anymore noise than it already did by running.

Hotchocolate trotted right and scented the air, another scent floated breifly on the wind, blood. Bruntmemories must of caught a rabbit!

The deputy grabbed the rabbit by the head and looked around for a place to hide it. She then noticed a hole in the ground and nodded her head and trotted over toward it. She placed the rabbit in a rabbit hole, kinda ironic now that she thought about it. Her amber-hazel eyes looked around as she licked the blood from her jaws, which was obvious thanks to the white patches that covered most of her face. The red and white tabby then turned her body around and walked in the opposite direction looking to where prey might be. It was indeed harsh thanks to leaf-bare and prey was scarce, so she wouldn't be surprised if they only caught this one rabbit.

The scent of blood was still strong on the deputy which she tried to get off by rolling in the snow. Droplets of crimson smeared onto the ground as she rolled her face and paws in it. The cold seeped through her thin fur and pierced her skin and made her shiver. Her face was still slightly stained with blood. Curse my light fur! The she-cat thought angrily to herself as she put her paws on her face if she wanted to rub it away, which she did, it just wouldn't come off. Then she heard a crack of a twig and she quickly spun around, alert and her claws already unsheathed.

Ic: Hotchocholate stalked towards a rabbit, quite young by the looks of it. He pounced and landed on its back half as it tried to run away. But the Havana Brown had the baby bunny in his claws. He bit down and snapped its neck, blood spattered his dark chest fur.

The Windclan deputy heard a growl coming from the long grass and she let out a snarl in response. Her white and red tabby fur was bristling with anger as she lashed her tail angrily and watched as something knocked her from the sound. She had been looking in the wrong direction. She was pinned to the ground, and the air knocked out of her and she struggled under the large weight. She lifted her head and looked at yellow beading eyes and her own amber-hazel eyes widened in fear. A fox. It had been attracted to the blood that was on her and she snarled and opened her jaws and sank it into its paw. The canine yelped and lifted his paw and began to shake her viciously trying to get her off. Then it began smart and lifted her toward its mouth and wrapped it around her body. Long teeth pierced her body and she usually wouldn't yowl in pain, but this time she did and she let go of the paw. She then focused on the foxes face and used her paws, but at her angle she couldn't reach. Well fuck....

Ic: Hotchocolate heard the snapping and howling. As he launched himself through the snowy landscape he yowled at the top of his lungs, like an idiot, "I'LL SAVE YOU BURNTMEMORIES!" Well, so much for taking the fox by surprise. The havana brown crashed through a few stalks of brittle grass and tumbled into the fox.

A scowl of pain was formed over her facial features as she was some pain here thanks to that the canines teeth had punchered her stomach and were in between her shoulder blades. She couldn't do anything at this point thanks to that if she moved, she would probably rip open her stomach. The fox felt something hit him and turned to see a cat. He of course dropped the deputy hard onto the ground where she didn't bother to move as if that would help stop the bleeding. The large canine then lunged for the chocolate colored tom, aiming to trap him in its jaws.

Hotchocholate dashed around to the fox's other side and slid under it's belly, lunging and aiming to cause some serious gashes.

The fox yelped in pain as the cat went under it and began to hack away at its body. It spun around, its eyes blazing with fury and anger and he lunged forward again, while the cat was on the ground, aiming to pin him there. Foxes were a crafty bunch, so it would be interesting to see what they would come up with.

The fox barked happily and began to slowly lean down aiming to grasp the cat in its jaws.

Burntmemories was in agony as she was lieing in a pool of blood. Her amber-hazel eyes widened as she watched her clanmate in trouble. It took a little bit to get up onto her paws and clumsily leap onto the side of the fox. There she began to use her claws and slice through flesh.

Hotchocholate unsheathed his claws and aimed to lash out at the fox's muzzle. His lime green eyes were bright with fury and he growled deep in his throat.

The fox let out what sounded like a screeched as it seemed to be getting attacked from all side. The tom's claws slashed into its thin skinned muzzle and then he felt claws digging into the flesh on his side. He let the chocolate hued tom go as he focused on the cat that was on his side. The red canine shook violently until the deputy was shaken off and flung direction onto a stone.

Stars danced in the she-cats eyes as she struggled to remain conscious. She had already lost a ton of blood and didn't know weather or not she would even make it herself. At least she gave Hotchocolate some time to get the fox away, or run away for his life while she would be eaten, probably alive. Each time her heart pumped, blood oozed out of the deep wounds that were around her shoulder and spine.
